I am phasing out printing on metallic paper and now print all my work via a dye-sublimate process on aluminum. There are many reasons for the switch away from paper. Among them are prints on metal are much more vibrant, there is no need for a distracting sheet of glass between the viewer and the artwork, and the durability of metal prints.
Last but not least, metal prints are significantly lighter than a fully framed paper print when you include the frame and the glass for the paper print.
Since dye-sublimate prints on metal are highly technical process, I ship my files to a printer and have switched to using Shiny Prints in Jupiter, https://shinyprints.com/
At art festivals, many people ask me who I work with when it comes to prints so I figured I would post the answer.
