Added a New Gallery to the Website

I just added a new gallery to the website, Tropics and Beaches. Actually, while working on another matter related to the website, I noticed the gallery was missing. This occurred earlier this year during the rush to rebuild the website. The rebuild had to be done after the owners of the Photocrati Template, which I had been using, crashed all their existing customers’ websites while doing an upgrade. Needless to say, I just moved on from Photocrati and use a […]

Back Down to One Gallery

Sadly, I am back down to being part of one gallery, the Susan Calloway Fine Art gallery in Washington DC. The ADE Gallery in Fort Lauderdale has gone into hiatus and it is not clear if it will re-open. If it does, I will participate with that gallery. I decided to leave the Boca Raton Artist Guild Gallery because of conflicts between working art shows and dropping off work for the approximately 10 exhibitions the gallery hosts each year.

Remaining Art Festivals in the 2018-2019 winter season in Florida

I’m a bit more than half way through my schedule of about 20 art shows in the 2018-2019 winter season here in Florida which began in November. Here are the remaining show dates and locations. Feb. 23-24: Stuart, Florida March 2-3: Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale March 9-10: Juno Beach March 16-17: Coral Springs March 23-24: Naples Downtown March 30-31, Naples, Galleria Mall April 6-7: West Palm Beach April 12-14: The Delray Affair, Delray Beach

Website is finally back up

I would like to thank everyone for being patient while the website was rebuilt from scratch. As bizarre as it sounds, I had a website that used a Photocratic template and Photocrati decided to update all their protocols for loading images and information onto the site. But when they did so, they crashed all the websites of their existing customers. Further complicating the situation, Photocrati made the changes before they updated their training videos and would only offer tech support […]

New Gallery

I have joined a new gallery, the ADE Gallery in Fort Lauderdale. At this point, my work is carried by the Susan Calloway Fine Art gallery in Washington, DC, the Boca Raton Artist Guild Gallery in Boca Raton, and, of course, the ADE Gallery in Fort Lauderdale. I’m always available for contact at alexketo@hotmail.com

I’ve added a few new categories of photography. These include underwater images, tropical images, Florida piers and lighthouse, and Florida graphic art. Take a look and enjoy.

Switching Printing Company

I am phasing out printing on metallic paper and now print all my work via a dye-sublimate process on aluminum. There are many reasons for the switch away from paper. Among them are prints on metal are much more vibrant, there is no need for a distracting sheet of glass between the viewer and the artwork, and the durability of metal prints. Last but not least, metal prints are significantly lighter than a fully framed paper print when you include […]
